Chris Chrysanthou is blessed by Father Christodoulos during the Blessing of the Waters Saturday September 28, 2013 at Wrightsville Beach. St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church hosted it’s 2013 Blessing of the Water and Cross Dive on Saturday September 28, 2013. During this worldwide Greek Orthodox tradition the parish priest blesses the waters and throws a cross for young members of the church to dive for, the youth that retrieves the cross is blessed for the whole year.
